During the initial consultation, we discuss your needs and objectives for the 3D-printed object. We gather information about the design, intended use, and any special requirements.

Material Selection

We discuss and choose the most suitable material for your project based on the design and functional requirements..

print preparation

We prepare your 3D model for printing by slicing and optimizing the file for the printer. We set the print settings, such as layer thickness and fill structure, to ensure the quality you need.

  • Sliced Model: The 3D model converted into layers and ready for the printer.
  • Print Settings: A document with the chosen print settings and parameters.

3D printing

The 3D printing process is carried out. We monitor the printing to ensure that the object is produced correctly and make adjustments if necessary.

Post-Processing

After printing, the object undergoes post-processing to enhance its finish. This may include sanding, painting, or applying a sticker to optimize the object’s functionality and aesthetics.

1. What is 3D printing and how does it work?

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a process where a digital model is converted into a physical object by building up layers of material. We start with a 3D model prepared in specialized software. Then, layers of the chosen material (plastics) are printed according to the model's specifications until the final product is complete.

3D printing offers several advantages, including:

  • Speed: Fast prototyping and model production.
  • Cost Savings: Reduced material waste and lower costs for small batches.
  • Complexity: Ability to produce complex geometries and detailed designs that are
    difficult to achieve with traditional methods.
  • Flexibility: Easy modifications to designs without the need for new molds or tools.

We use a variety of materials, including:

  • PLA (Polylactic Acid): Ideal for prototyping and user-friendly applications.
  • ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): Stronger and more durable, suitable for
    functional parts.
  • PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol): Good balance between strength and
    flexibility, often used for industrial applications.

Our largest printers can print objects up to 256 x 256 x 256 mm. For larger objects, we can print the parts in sections and assemble them.

The printing time varies depending on the size, complexity, and material of the object. Small prototypes may be completed within a few hours, while larger or more complex parts can take several days. We will provide a time estimate once we have reviewed your design.

You can submit your 3D model in common file formats such as STL or STEP. Ensure that your model is correctly scaled and free of errors, such as non-manifold surfaces or holes. If you need assistance preparing your file, we can provide guidance.
